St. Dunstan's Basilica

Charlottetown is the capital and largest city of the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island. Downtown is where you can see the hustle and bustle of boutique stores, shanty bars on docks, and fancy restaurants overlooking sailboats on the Charlottetown harbor.
From there, one can see the spires of St. Dunstan's Basilica. It’s not the original cathedral built between 1897 and 1907, which was destroyed by fire in 1913. The present stone structure was rebuilt from 1913 to 1919 in a different Georgian Revival architectural style of that era. Architectural photography is not my thing. Still, I didn’t know if I would ever go back to P.E.I. so I walked a street toward the basilica.
I ended up at the back of the building with a
beautiful round blue and gold stained glass window..
As I came around the corner I saw a wedding was going on!
My hopes of a clear shot of the front door and going inside were dashed.
These two jokers had brought the keg for the reception I guess.
I don’t know what their significance was being across from a cathedral.
A huge RV towing a Jeep came down the street blocking my view. I thought maybe they were lost on the way to a vacation. Then it stopped and bridesmaids started getting off.
I continued around St. Dunstan's Basilica to get a few more photos of this amazing cathedral.
I even got a photograph of a spire framed through an alley.
I hoped to get some nice shots of the stained glass and front doors
